
Meadowlark Community Mill
We are a passionate team of farmers, millers, bakers, and grain enthusiasts who are rebuilding our regional grain economy. Here to serve farmers, culinary professionals, and home bakers, we are excited to share the bounty of the Driftless region by milling high-quality stone ground flour using regionally grown organic grains.
Meadowlark Community Mill began production on our farm, Meadowlark Organics in Ridgeway, WI, in Spring of 2021. Before that we had partnered with Lonesome Stone Milling to custom mill grain we grew. At our new flour mill, we are determined to grow the demand for regionally grown and milled grains so that more farmers have the opportunity to grow alternative crops like wheat, rye, and spelt. With farming at the heart of what we do, we believe this can help to increase the diversity of our agricultural landscape while providing equitable markets for more farmers. We came to farming with professional culinary backgrounds and are committed to supporting the success of all bakers and chefs who work with our grain. We take quality and education seriously, while aiming to make our products approachable, joyful and delicious.
John and Halee Wepking and Rink DaVee are the people behind Meadowlark Community Mill. John is the lead farmer at Meadowlark Organics and handles grain supply; Halee heads up our sales team; and Rink oversees milling production.
